the kavod Hashem shone around them; and they were afraid with a yirah gedolah (great

from them to Shomayim, the roim (shepherds) were saying to one another, Let us
go now up to Beit-Lechem and let us see this thing that has come about which
Hashem has made known to us.

[ben Dovid], and the
child was lying in the evus (animal feeding trough, see Isa 53:7 on Moshiach the Seh).
|17| And when the roim saw this, they made known the dvar concerning this yeled
which had been told them.
|18| And all who heard it were amazed about the things which were told them by
|19| But Miryam was treasuring up all these things, pondering
them in her lev.
|20| And the roim went back, and as they returned,
they cried, Baruch Hashem! They
gave kavod to G-d for all that they had heard and
seen, just as it had been foretold to

For hva var det de sa, de vise som kom fra Østerland for å se den jødenes
konge som nå er født (Matt 2:2)?
Vi har sett hans
stjerne i Østen!
Himmelens og universets Gud hadde altså markert og kunngjort
begivenheten med all tydelighet, ikke bare lokalt for hyrdene på
Betlehems-markene og i Israel, men for den hele verden!
være et trygghetens og gledens anker
som alltid toner i ditt og mitt hjerte - midt i alle livets situasjoner.
Inntil Han kommer
tilbake igjen. Ikke som Jesusbarnet. Men som vår Frelser og Forløser. Og i
makt og herlighet. Han som er Kongenes Konge. Herrenes Herre. Våre jødiske
venner venter hans ankomst. Den kristne venter hans gjenkomst. Den ene,
samme person: Jesus Messias, Yeshua HaMoshiach.
Han som dypest
sett er Bibelens kjerne og stjerne, slik Skriften selv sier: Messias er
det mål som Loven (Guds lære) sikter mot, Han som tilbyr rettferdighet for
hver den som fatter tiltro til Ham.
